I’ve actually had an answer! I hadn’t been on a plane in over 20 years. I had gone to Chicago and was headed back to Houston. I’m already antsy so I’m hoping that people don’t bother me. I’ve finally learned in my short life that it’s ok to say no, and for whatever reason I want it to be. A man, his wife, and two garden variety children had a however long it takes a plane ride from England and UK to Chicago…..but they left that plane ride not 30 minutes before. The kids were hollering and screaming, a baby mind you and a toddler. They asked me to move from my coveted seat by the window so they could sit together. I looked at the situation, said no thank you, and went on my ride, back home to the Houston area. I never say them again. Thank goodness!
Yes. I worked with a very ambitious woman who had her eyes set on becoming a vice president at the company I worked for. She apparently considered me, and several others, a threat to her goal so she worked to get us all fired. Little comments in the meeting, filing conducts reports against us that we had to defend, making sure we were not invited to key meetings.
